Update on Swine Flu - Autumn Term 2009
To avoid spreading the Swine Flu infection, students who have flu-like symptoms should stay away from school until they have recovered fully, and are free of the symptoms.
You can check the symptoms online at www.nhs.uk, or call the Swine Flu Infection Helpline on 0800 1 513 513. If you are still concerned then stay at home and contact your GP.
You can help to prevent the infection from spreading by practicing some simple precautions:
- Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze and cough, using a tissue
- Dispose of dirty tissues promptly and carefully
- Frequently washing your hands with soap and water
- Clean hard surfaces (eg door handles) frequently using a normal cleaning product.
