ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS
As soon as a decision has been taken to close the school due to extreme weather conditions, several actions will be taken.
- Local radio stations will be informed
- The home page of this website will be updated with closure information
- A text message will be sent to parents / guardian's mobile phones if we have your number.
- A message will be put on the school's main phone line if possible.
Radio stations
- Radio Leeds 92.40 FM
- Pulse Radio97.50 and 102.50 FM
- Sunrise Radio103.20 FM
- Fresh Radio102.60, 107.10, 107.80 FM and 936 AM
Some of these stations can also be listened to via the internet.
Websites
- The BBC Radio Leeds website carries a list of closed schools - www.bbc.co.uk/bradford/
- We will also make every effort to update the College website at www.grangetc.org.uk with the news.
It is important that as many people as possible use these means to find out about whether school is open. In very severe weather conditions it is possible that nobody would be able to reach school to answer the telephones.
The education of Grange students is important and we hope that it will not be necessary to close the school.
To receive a text message from us to advise when school is closed, or for other urgent information, please print and complete this form. Alternatively, use this link to email us your name, mobile number, your childs name and tutor group.
We will update your details as soon as possible.
