Eastenders Interview

Pupils interviewed Darren and Tanwar from Eastenders

On Wednesday 10th February we took our BBC News Schools report pupils (Years 7 and 8) to the National Media Museum to be involved in a day of training on interview techniques and to meet and interview cast from Eastenders.

This is part of a collaborative event to celebrate 25 years of Eastenders between the BBC and the National Media Museum.

The day started off with pupils watching the first episode of Eastenders broadcast 25 years ago along with clips from more recent shows.  The rest of the morning was spent looking at how you prepare to interview and planning what questions students wanted to ask the cast.  One pupil was selected from each school to be part of a filming team recording the events of the whole day which will be posted on the BBC news website

School Report

We met the cast and our pupils put their questions to Charlie (Darren) and Himesh (Tanwar).  They were both very funny and everyone enjoyed the question and answer session.

Grange will be posting our ‘live’ news on March 11th 2010 after 2pm.  Please come back and see our news report on Grange News Report
