STIM

Science, Technology, ICT and Maths (STIM), are dished up in Food Technology
STIM lessons, a mixture of Science, Technology, IT and Maths all came together for this group of cooks as they put into action what they had learnt about healthy eating.

Fingers crossed these Thai Kebabs
taste as good as they look
Under the project of 'Live and Kicking' and having learnt about digestion in science, Technology (DT) built on these skills, putting theory into practice to make a '5 a day' balanced healthy meal.
Groups of students worked in teams, using manufactoring processes to 'build' Thai Chicken Kebabs, Fruit Smoothies, Vegetable & Fruit Couscous and Cranachan (a Scottish dessert with raspberries).
All foods produced contained no salt or oil.

The students decided on their own roles in the team and how to
decorate and present the food.

And finally, a well-earned sit down and cup of tea.
